Why do you think I am whining on here?

marzec 16th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

I’m tired of those “Quit your whining”, ok in the realworld I don’t do this. This is just a great way to express my feelings to people I can’t even see who are like hundreds of miles away. Of course I’m going to whine on the internet, and express my truest feelings. Why would I do that in the realworld. I have to have toughskin in the realworld, but on the internet? No.

I get it…I totally get it!

And why do people answer questions with some smarta$$ answer like “why are you asking this question?”

If they don’t have a good answer or want to make a contribution, why take the time to type a lame remark? I mean I can understand if it’s a troll’s question only posted to make people angry, but some are genuine people just looking for advice & all they get is criticism…..they should have better things to do if they’re so high & mighty right?

Everybody’s looking for something~

? value of ‘Blue Nude’ lithograph by Picasso.?

marzec 15th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

It is enclosed in a black frame. Picasso’s name is in upper left corner of the piece. There is brown parchment over the back and a 2×2 white label w/ the following:

Frame made in Canada
With Glass
And Lithograph
Made in USA
VMD5B/4254

Less than a hundred bucks according to Ebay, most likely less than fifty. It’s a framed print, the framing is worth more than the lithograph.

Will Cala Lilies grow in the Texas Panhandle?

marzec 14th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

You can grow calla lilies outdoors in zones 7-10. A friend of mine grows them in large pots up here in New Hampshire. You *might* be fine growing them out in your garden where you live if you are in the southern third of the panhandle. If you’re further north, grow them in large decorative pots and take them into your basement for a rest for the winter.

Help, I need a catchy name for my faux painting business!?

marzec 13th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

Hello all, I have been a mural painter off and on for a few years and have finally decided to commit myself full time to this occupation. I would like to incorporate other design elements, such as general faux finishes, finishes for furniture, and room design. I would like to incorporate the word designs into the name, or something similar. I’m an aquarius, so that means I’m quirky and I’d like a name that reflects my personality, yet is also professional and draws the client. Can you help me??? Many thanks for your time….peace

I, too, am Aquarian…and I LOVE doing faux finishes, especially on furniture and accessories…I spent 16 years as an interior designer…
“Faux Pas Designs”
“Faux Bleau”
“The Painted Lady”
“The Faux Chateau”
“Faux Verseau” (”Verseau” is french for Aquarius)
Or…”(Your name or just last name) Designs, Faux Artisite”

What are some good quotes to write in people’s yearbooks?

marzec 12th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

I like to use quotes when I sign people’s yearbooks…..any suggestions?

well i guess it depends what grade youre in. if your graduating either 8th or highschool you would want more meaningful ones. once someone wrote in my eighth grade one:
heres to the mistakes we’ve made,
heres to the laughs we’ve shared,
heres to the “friends” we know are fake,
heres to the friends we know care,
and heres to the friends we know will last a lifetime.

i guess it was cuter when i recieved it than it is now. haha.

and i wrote in my crushes yearbook in eighth grade and i said : heres to the futurehttp://dvdhelponline.com/

Formal Dinner Question?

marzec 11th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

Is the best type of silverwear sterling? Is the best type of dishes bone china? Is there anything better than that? And, is there anything better than lead crystal glasses? And at an extremely formal dinner are there napkins….I know that most people want napkins, but is that the most formal thing to do? and, what are the napkins made out of? Silk? Thanks

At most formal dinners, the flatware is sterling silver. Stainless steel is a type of flatware that is more for every day use because it does not have to be polished. Bone china is the place setting to use and the napkins are normally linen. There is nothing better than lead crystal glasses, but just remember there are different stemware that you use, there are water goblets, iced tea goblets, and even wine glasses to name a few.

marzec 11th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

I currently have Vernon Davis but Chris Cooley is on the waiver wire. I feel like Davis has a lot of upside but hasn’t shown much this year. Should I swap him for Cooley?

its a close call……. id pick up cooley anyway and just drop someone else. i dont know how he is a free agent anyway, he has alot of talent.

In a trade, should I give up Dwayne Bowe for Tony Gonzalez ?

marzec 10th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

I have Desmond Clark and Donald Lee for TE’s and my receivers are all about the same in points.

I have Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzalez in my league and if I was in your shoe, I would make that trade only because I don’t like your core of Tight Ends. Dwayne Bowe has been consistent, he might not make the end zone in every game but he will get you at least 5 catches a game and an opportunity in the end zone, don’t listen to some of these answers when they’re telling you that Bowe is inconsistent, because Bowe and Gonzalez has similar stats, both with 3 TDs with Bowe at 499 yards and Gonzalez at 506. Just because Tony Gonzalez has the name doesn’t mean he’s the better player this year. If you decide to keep Bowe, that would be good too. Remember Bowe is a long threat and big touchdown waiting to happen

I have a very old table, but I don’t know it’s history. Who should I ask?

marzec 9th, 2008 by wilfredomcintosh

Should I contact a antique dealer, an online antique community, travelling antique show???? Any ideas? Thanks!

Call an antique dealer or the show Antique Road show (they have a website) has antique dealers & they may be in your area or able to recommend a great resource for you.
